I was about to book a ticket out to California for a long weekend with my husband when I received an email from Kyla. Their wedding was a month away, and I am so glad I saw the email before I booked a flight. I was even happier that I was available on that Sunday in June.
Their wedding was small, about 40 people at Lannie’s Clocktower in downtown Denver. It was intimate, heartfelt, and they forwent all the traditional stuff including a wedding party. Kyla wore black and Scott was fashionably dressed in white. They had a breakfast taco bar catered by Three Tomatoes, breakfast pastries, and a coffee bar where you could Irish up your coffee if you were so inclined. Oh, and cupcakes; amazing cupcakes that I am now craving after looking at the photos!
Andy McMullen, a client of mine from years past, officiated their wedding and had everyone laughing. He was well spoken, and the perfect fit for Kyla and Scott.
After all the photos with Kyla and Scott were done, a few shots tequila, and some good tunes, people began to dance. I watched with a smile, wielding my camera, as Scott’s father attempted to teach him how to dance, and visa versa.
I am so glad I got to spend this Sunday morning with Kyla and Scott. Cheers to you two! Congratulations newly weds, and thank you for having me as your photographer. I had a blast even if I’m not a morning person.
